Scholarship and Scholarly Communication in the Electronic Age

Scholarly communication, in its current form, will cease to exist if the problems plaguing it today go unresolved. This article gives a brief history of the scholarly community and its system of communication, as well as possible solutions to the problems with which it has been confronted since the Web revolution.
